Product information
DDR5-4800 U-DIMM offers impressive frequencies of up to 4800 MT/s, which is a significant increase compared to the maximum frequency of DDR4 modules (3200 MT/s).
Higher Power Efficiency
This next-generation memory module operates at just 1.1 V, making it 8% more power-efficient than DDR4. Furthermore, it features an integrated Power Management IC (PMIC) for more stable power delivery.
Doubled Capacity
The architecture of this memory module allows for more memory bank groups and banks. More bank groups can be integrated into the module on the same area, doubling the possibilities with DDR4 in terms of higher capacities.
Improved Stability
With On-Die Error-Correcting Code (ECC), this module can automatically correct errors in real time to provide increased stability and reliability.
Quick Tips: DDR5 vs. DDR4 - Appearance
DDR5 U-DIMM modules have the same dimensions and the same number of contacts as DDR4 modules. The most obvious difference is the position of the notch, which prevents incorrect insertion. Additionally, DDR5 integrates I/O resistors with CMD/ADD resistors. DDR5 modules also have a cleaner appearance than DDR4 modules. And you can see a PMIC in the middle.
Quick Tips: DDR5 vs. DDR4 - Chip Architecture
DDR5 modules offer twice the capacity of DDR4 by integrating more banks and bank groups. In addition, burst length and prefetch are also doubled. And to ensure data integrity, they feature Error-Correcting Code (ECC) technology.
Quick Tips: DDR5 vs. DDR4 - Performance
The biggest change is a significant increase in bandwidth and frequency. ADATA's DDR5 memory modules deliver frequencies of up to 4800 MT/s and a bandwidth of 38.4 GB/s, which is 50% higher than DDR4-3200. The maximum frequency is increased by 1.63 times compared to DDR4.
