Initial Assessment
You describe what happened: does it click, is it silent, was water involved, was it formatted. We realistically assess the chance of recovery before you send the device in.

Laboratory Diagnostics
In our workshop in Winterthur, we use recovery software and special hardware to check how much of the drive is still readable. For complex defects, we collaborate with a data recovery partner in Zurich.

Specific number
You'll get a report: what can be saved, what it costs, how safe we are. You'll decide if we proceed. Only then will the rescue costs be incurred.

Rescue + Transfer
We'll copy the data to a new, tested drive. Your data will be transferred to you in a structured manner, and the defective original will be securely disposed of or returned.

How realistic is a rescue?
Honestly: very variable. Formatted SSDs are good for recovery (85%+), clicking HDDs are moderate (60-70%), water damage immediately treated is 40-50%, after weeks it's under 20%. For SSDs with a burned controller, it's under 30%. We always give you a realistic figure before you pay anything.
What if the rescue fails?
Then you don't pay anything for the recovery, only the diagnostic flat rate (CHF 80). If we see during the initial assessment that it is hopeless, we will tell you that for free and you save yourself the diagnosis.
Do you see my private data?
We need technical access to perform the recovery. We do not inspect individual files. A standard NDA applies, and we can provide it in writing upon request. After handover, all copies on our systems will be deleted and confirmed.
What should I do NOW before submitting?
Above all: stop using it. Every attempt to power it on can further damage a broken HDD. Do not use recovery tools if you are not sure, as this is one of the most common reasons why recovery becomes more expensive. Call us beforehand instead.
Time is of the essence in data recovery.
Do not switch it on again. Do not use tools on it. Report it briefly, we will respond within hours.
