How the credit works

Valid for every online appointment you attend with labour charges of at least CHF 120, including VAT, before the credit is deducted and excluding hardware, replacement parts and materials.
The credit is deducted from your service invoice after the work has been carried out. No credit for missed appointments. No cash payout.
A standalone diagnosis and the free initial consultation are excluded.
One credit per online appointment attended. Cannot be combined with other promotions.
A diagnostic fee you have already paid is credited as usual towards follow-up work; the same amount is not counted twice.
Mention the online appointment credit at your appointment. We will check that the conditions are met and deduct it from your service invoice.

Initial Assessment

You describe what happened: does it click, is it silent, was water involved, was it formatted. We realistically assess the chance of recovery before you send the device in.

First diagnosis

In our workshop in Winterthur, we use recovery software and special hardware to check how much of the drive is still readable. If a drive needs a specialised lab, we discuss the procedure and costs with you before anything happens.
2-4 business days
Specific number

You'll get a report: what can be saved, what it costs, how safe we are. You'll decide if we proceed. Only then will the rescue costs be incurred.

Rescue + Transfer

We'll copy the data to a new, tested drive. Your data will be transferred to you in a structured manner, and the defective original will be securely disposed of or returned.

Frequently asked.

How realistic is a rescue?

It depends heavily on the damage. An accidentally formatted SSD can often be recovered well, a clicking hard drive or water damage is much harder. After the free first diagnosis we tell you realistically what the chances are, before any costs arise.

What if the rescue fails?

If we already see during the free first diagnosis that recovery is hopeless, we tell you straight away. What an order costs, and what applies if not everything can be recovered, we agree with you beforehand.

Do you see my private data?

For the recovery we need technical access to the drive. We do not look at individual files. We treat your data confidentially and delete our working copies after handover.

What should I do NOW before submitting?

Above all: stop using it. Every attempt to power it on can further damage a broken HDD. Do not use recovery tools if you are not sure, as this is one of the most common reasons why recovery becomes more expensive. Call us beforehand instead.
