The importance of hold-up time
Hold-up time indicates how long a power supply is able to maintain a constant output voltage at a regular output level after it has been switched off or a power shortage has occurred. This period can prevent malfunctions in the computer system or sudden short circuits, overloads, power failures or voltage drops in the power grid.

For ATX3.1 hold-up time, there is both a required and a recommended value. FSP ATX3.1 chooses the recommended value for uncompromising power quality.
