What is datAshur Pro?

The iStorage datAshur is the world's most secure, easy-to-use, and affordable USB 3.0 flash drive. It is PIN-protected and uses military-grade XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption. The datAshur uses a built-in, rechargeable battery that allows the user to lock their data with a 7-15 digit PIN. This PIN is entered using the onboard keypad before the drive is connected to a computer via USB.

Data stored on the datAshur Pro is instantly encrypted by the device's hardware-based encryption engine, protecting it from unauthorized access, even if the device is lost or stolen. The datAshur automatically locks itself when the device is disconnected from the computer or when the USB power supply is deactivated. It is also possible to set a time after which the datAshur Pro should automatically shut down.

The datAshur Pro is ready to use immediately as it requires no software installations or drivers. The datAshur Pro can be configured with different User PINs and Admin PINs. This makes the device perfectly suitable for company-wide use. Should a user forget their PIN, the drive can still be unlocked by an administrator via the Admin PIN. In this case, the administrator simply sets a new User PIN and the device can continue to be used. The datAshur features a reset function that allows the User and Admin PINs to be removed, all data on the drive to be deleted, a new encryption key to be generated, and the drive to be reused as if it were factory new. This process can be repeated an infinite number of times if necessary.

Since the iStorage datAshur Pro is unlocked via the onboard keypad and not via a computer keyboard, it is immune to keylogger attacks and "Brute Force" attacks. The datAshur Pro protects your data with a "Brute Force" defense mechanism. If User and Admin PINs have been set, and a user enters their PIN incorrectly 10 times in a row, the protection mechanism is activated and deletes the User PIN. Now, only the Admin has access to the data stored on the device. If the Admin also enters their PIN incorrectly 10 times in a row, the device deletes all its data and resets itself, so the drive must be reformatted, and both User and Admin PINs must be reset.
