Product information

Ideal when security is paramount.
Kingston's DataTraveler® 2000 was designed with security in mind. The drive is locked with a word or number combination via the alphanumeric keypad - a user-friendly PIN protection. When the storage is unplugged from a device, the automatic locking function is activated, which also deletes the encryption key after 10 invalid login attempts. The DT2000 features full 256-bit AES data encryption in XTS mode. Encryption takes place directly on the drive, not via the host computer. Thus, the PIN cannot be traced via the computer system. The DataTraveler 2000 is OS independent and can be used with any device that has a USB 2.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port. It is compatible with Windows®, Mac® OS, Linux, Chrome OS, Android (currently used in almost half of all devices), thin clients and embedded systems. The drive also does not require any software or drivers. It is FIPS 197 certified to meet IT requirements frequently demanded by businesses. Its solid construction means the drive is well protected against environmental influences such as water and dust.
