Product information

IronKey D300
All Models
To protect sensitive data, the Kingston IronKey™ D300 USB drive utilizes a state-of-the-art security standard, built upon functionalities that have earned IronKey its excellent reputation. It is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified and offers 256-bit AES encryption in XTS mode at the hardware level. This is a crucial foundation for security standards, corporate policies, and best practices for data loss prevention (DLP). An important element for meeting industry standards and global regulations, such as the GDPR.

Additional security is provided by the USB drive's digitally signed firmware, which makes it immune to BadUSB. It also features complex password protection1 with a minimum character string against unauthorized access.

Encryption and decryption occur directly on the USB drive, leaving no traces on the host system. Furthermore, the USB drive is locked after 10 invalid login attempts to protect it against brute-force attacks.

The robust, secure IronKey D300 has a zinc casing with tamper-evident epoxy sealing for mechanical protection. This ensures that the USB drive is well-equipped even in hazardous situations.

Customizable, user-friendly, and waterproof to a depth of 1.2 m, IEC60529 IPX8 compliant2. SuperSpeed (USB 3.0) means that security reasons are no obstacle to high speed.

- High level of security built upon the functionalities that have earned IronKey its excellent reputation
- Available as a Managed Model (requires IronKey EMS by DataLocker3).
- Robust, secure casing that meets the IronKey standard.
- Fast data transfer through the use of the latest NAND flash and controller technology.
- Customizable
- User-friendly

Serialized (S) Models
The IronKey D300S / D300SM offers two additional features beyond industry-leading data security.
Unique serial number and barcode printed on the drive

- Allows the network administrator to easily read or scan the code instead of having to plug in the drive to read its individual serial number.
- Saves time during both deployment and return of the drive, as well as during all mechanical hardware inspections of a company. If a drive is lost, the owner can be quickly identified via the serial number.

Virtual Keyboard
- The user can enter the password using the mouse, without a mechanical keyboard. This reduces the risk of keyloggers monitoring password input.
- Protection when using an encrypted drive on other computers that can track every keystroke on the keyboard, including passwords.

Managed Model
IronKey D300M / D300SM are available as Managed Models, which require IronKey EMS to support SafeConsole by DataLocker3 with D300SM. This enables centralized management of drive access and usage for thousands of drives.

Both cloud-based and via internal company servers, the Managed Model enforces compliance with drive-specific policies, such as password strength and number of retry attempts. It also allows administrators to remotely disable lost or stolen drives, recover lost passwords, and much more.
