BMC Remote Management
An onboard BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) is a key feature for workstations. It uses a 1G Realtek controller, with a 1G port dedicated to the BMC exclusively to provide the intelligent IPMI architecture. The BMC manages the interface between the system management software and the platform hardware. Administrators can remotely communicate with the BMC to take some corrective actions, such as resetting or powering up a system.
