Targus ASF16W1GL Monitor Accessory Screen Protector

The Targus® 16" Laptop Privacy Screen is designed for 16" laptops with 16:10 aspect ratio screens. To protect your information, tiny vertical blinds on the surface of the privacy screen narrow the viewing angle so data is only visible directly in front of the monitor up to 30 degrees from the center of the screen. Viewers only see a dark, unclear screen when attempting to view the information from a side angle. In addition to security, the screen also blocks glare to help reduce eye strain. The Targus Laptop Privacy Screen can be easily attached using clear adhesive strips that are designed for LCD filters or with the included tab guides that attach to the edge of the LCD frame to hold the screen in place. The user can also position the tabs to allow the screen to be easily slid on and off. Highly portable and easy-to-use, the Targus Privacy Screen prevents onlookers from seeing valuable information often viewed on a laptop or LCD monitor.

Suitable for the Workplace or Personal Use
One study found that employees are 50% less productive when their visual privacy is at risk and that two out of three employees disclose sensitive data outside of the workplace.

With more of us working in open-plan offices, on the road or in unsecured environments, privacy protection is an important concern for employers and employees alike. Privacy screens provide an added layer of protection that promotes productivity while safeguarding confidential information.

30° Viewing Angle
Even in public places like hotel lobbies, aeroplanes or coffee shops, the 4Vu™ Privacy Screen keeps your data safe from prying eyes. Your content is only visible to the person directly in front of the screen and up to 30° to either side. You’ll have full clarity and visibility, while onlookers or passers-by will only see a black screen.

Reduced Glare, Even in Bright Rooms
Our anti-glare coating reduces glare and improves light transmittance in most viewing conditions. The result is a brightness that is up to 12.4% higher than other privacy screens, making for a comfortable, clear view.

Four Easy Installation Options
Quickly and easily attach the screen directly to your display using one of the four convenient installation options.

Under-bezel tabs: directly attached to the privacy screen and slide under your laptop’s bezel for a clean look.

Slide tabs: attach to the side of a laptop’s LCD frame to hold the privacy screen in place.

Long adhesive strips: stick to the LCD screen, providing a firm hold.

Universal Flexi-hinges: attach to the top of the privacy screen and the top of your laptop for a seamless on/off experience by simply flipping. Use the provided adhesive tab to switch from private mode to public mode easily and without fingerprints. Two versions are offered: 1 for bezelled screens and 1 for infinity screens.

Tabs and long adhesives can be used up to 50 times and cleaned with water or tape to remove dust before reusing; Flexi-hinges can be flipped over 1000 times.

Blue Light Filtering
While ubiquitous, too much time in front of a screen can lead to increased exposure to artificial blue light, which interrupts our brains’ natural circadian cycle stimulation, causing 'digital eye strain' in the short term and fatigue from lack of sleep in the long term. The 4Vu™ Privacy Screen filters blue light to reduce eye strain and minimise potentially harmful effects on your vision.
